How Ducky Index works
V4 uses historical Wister harvests, recent hunting momentum, and weather variables. Wednesday/Saturday and Sunday forecasts use separate trained regression artifacts.
The forecasting engine is maintained separately from this website, so model versions can be updated without redesigning the interface.
Understanding uncertainty
Where available, 80% and 90% historical error intervals summarize retrospective performance using observed-weather inputs. They are not guaranteed live-forecast coverage.
Momentum-adjusted confidence and exceptional-day probabilities are experimental or unavailable. No opening-day regression forecast exists yet.
